So that's what an airplane is!

March has been a busy month for the Hartnett fam.  It started with a Mommy leaving Daddy and little TJ to take a (surprise) trip to throw a bridal shower/bachelorette party for her friend, Courtney.  Daddy was happy that Grandma Willson stayed over for the weekend to help out with TJ, as it was the first time without Mommy around, which could have been rough for all. But, it wasn't TJ did great!  And, Mommy survived missing her baby boy!

While Mommy was away, TJ made a new discovery- FEET!

TJ went to his first parade for St. Patrick's Day.  He became tired quickly, so we only stayed for the first part of the parade, but it was nice to be outside on a beautiful day!

Mid March, the family took a trip for Courtney and Adams wedding in New Hampshire.  TJ got to ride an airplane for the FIRST TIME!  Actually, he got to ride 4 airplanes!  He did very well.

We all had SO MUCH FUN at the wedding... well, Mommy did.  Everyone else spent time with TJ in the room because he wasn't being a good baby at the wedding.  But we got some nice pictures:

Mommy was busy at the wedding, and giving a toast which might have caused the bride to blush:

About a week after we returned, we received some very sad news.  TJ's Great Grandpa Willson had passed away.

Charles Willson was a good man.  Beloved by his family and friends.  He loved to be silly and tell jokes.  He was a talented artist, a WW2 veteran, and a man with a strong faith in God.  We are all comforted knowing he is now in heaven, reunited with those who went before him, including his wife, Marie.

Unfortunately, TJ never got to meet his Great Grandfather, but Grandpa loved to see pictures of TJ.

So, to attend the funeral services, our family jumped back on a plane and flew to New York.  It was very nice to visit with family, who were delighted to meet the newest additon to the Willson family, TJ.

TJ has really been growing up quick.  Now that he is 4 months old, he has started eating rice cereal.

He has also been sleep training, where he learns to fall asleep on his own.  Usually this involves crying, for TJ, and for Mommy.  However, our smart boy is learning quick, and has now fallen alseep on his own, without crying, two nights in a row!  Yea!!!!!

And now, he not only can roll from his front to his back, but he can roll from his back to his side.  He hasn't gotten to his stomach yet, but he will soon!  He also loves to stand up while someone holds him.  Mommy and Daddy are afraid he will walk before he crawls!

On April 1st, TJ attended his 2nd wedding.  Aunt Carrie married Uncle Patrick.  Doesn't Aunt Carrie look pretty. And, TJ looks very cute in his bow tie.

And, for your entertainment... Here is TJ laughing- So cute!

2 Months old!

TJ turned 2 months old on January 16! Here are his stats so far:

BIRTH:  9 lb, 14 oz
1 MONTH: 11 lb, 14 oz
2 MONTH:  13 lb, 14 oz.

Anyone spotting the pattern?  Any guesses on what he will be at 3 months?  We shall see.  My money is on 15 lb, 14 oz!

TJ has already grown 2 1/4 inches (he is now 24.25in) since birth and now mostly wears 3-6 month clothes!  It was a sad moment for Mommy putting away those newborn outfits!

Something new TJ learned this month is how to SMILE!  :)

Often when he is getting his diaper changed:

Also when others smile at him because he is wearing a funny hat:

Mommy and Daddy have yet to capture a big smile... Cameras are just too slow!

When it all began...

It's hard to believe that a year ago, TJ was a mere figment of our imagination.  For 9 months, we enjoyed seeing our little man through ultrasound.  We even had a 3D/4D ultrasound done.

Then on his due date, November 11, Mom and Dad went to lunch with Carrie and Christia.  (No Baby).

On November 15, it was time for TJ! So, Kelly and Tom headed to the hospital!

Hearing the news, Carrie made her new nephew this cool birthday T-shirt.

But, TJ had other plans, sorry Carrie.

On November 16th at 1:11am, Thomas James Hartnett III was born!  He weighed a whopping 9 lbs 14 oz and was 22 inches long!

Mom and Dad were instantly in love.

Mamaw and Grandma Willson stayed at the hospital all day and finally got to meet TJ at 2:30am on his birthday.  They obviously were very excited to meet their grandson!

Over the next several days, Dad had to learn to change diapers.  Here is a picture of his very first change:

TJ had a LOT of visitors in the hospital!

And we had to get a picture with the wonderful Dr. Schuetz before we went home :)

Then, on Thursday, November 18, it was time to take TJ to his home for the first time in his life.  Isn't he so cute in his car seat?

Then, off we went, to start our little adventure we call life.
