Father's Day

June 19, 2011 was Dad's first Father's Day.  Mom made him breakfast with an omelette and pancakes featuring a special message from TJ.

Later that day, Dad and TJ hung out on the deck to enjoy the weather.

Then, they ventured down to the yard to check out the grass.

Pool Time

At the very end of May, TJ paid a visit to his cousin Scarlett.  There he took his first dip in the pool!  He seemed  to like it.

TJ Loves Jumping in His Bouncer

One of TJ's favorite pastimes now is jumping in his bouncer.

TJ's Baptism

TJ was baptized on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in O'Fallon, Missouri.  That's the same church Mom and Dad were married in back in 2006.

Here's TJ with Pastor Brad Reed being baptized.

Afterwards, we went back to the house for a brunch.  Here's Mom and TJ posing with the cake.

But, TJ quickly felt the need to slip into something more comfortable.

Then, we opened presents!

Eating food and talking

TJ has been trying some new things over the past two months.  He's been eating some real food, getting out in the sun, and talking about stuff.

Daddy put together a new high chair for TJ to sit in like a big boy.

And TJ loves sitting in this chair while eating new and exciting foods.

Here's TJ trying his very first non-milk foodstuff:  some peas.

With the weather getting warmer, TJ has been getting out more.  TJ's new shades are good for looking cool.

But they're also good when he's just having fun and laughing.

All these new activities have given TJ things to talk about...

So that's what an airplane is!

March has been a busy month for the Hartnett fam.  It started with a Mommy leaving Daddy and little TJ to take a (surprise) trip to throw a bridal shower/bachelorette party for her friend, Courtney.  Daddy was happy that Grandma Willson stayed over for the weekend to help out with TJ, as it was the first time without Mommy around, which could have been rough for all. But, it wasn't TJ did great!  And, Mommy survived missing her baby boy!

While Mommy was away, TJ made a new discovery- FEET!

TJ went to his first parade for St. Patrick's Day.  He became tired quickly, so we only stayed for the first part of the parade, but it was nice to be outside on a beautiful day!

Mid March, the family took a trip for Courtney and Adams wedding in New Hampshire.  TJ got to ride an airplane for the FIRST TIME!  Actually, he got to ride 4 airplanes!  He did very well.

We all had SO MUCH FUN at the wedding... well, Mommy did.  Everyone else spent time with TJ in the room because he wasn't being a good baby at the wedding.  But we got some nice pictures:

TJ finally asleep on Grandpa's belly

Mommy was busy at the wedding, and giving a toast which might have caused the bride to blush:

About a week after we returned, we received some very sad news.  TJ's Great Grandpa Willson had passed away.

Charles Willson was a good man.  Beloved by his family and friends.  He loved to be silly and tell jokes.  He was a talented artist, a WW2 veteran, and a man with a strong faith in God.  We are all comforted knowing he is now in heaven, reunited with those who went before him, including his wife, Marie.

Unfortunately, TJ never got to meet his Great Grandfather, but Grandpa loved to see pictures of TJ.

So, to attend the funeral services, our family jumped back on a plane and flew to New York.  It was very nice to visit with family, who were delighted to meet the newest additon to the Willson family, TJ.

TJ has really been growing up quick.  Now that he is 4 months old, he has started eating rice cereal.

He has also been sleep training, where he learns to fall asleep on his own.  Usually this involves crying, for TJ, and for Mommy.  However, our smart boy is learning quick, and has now fallen alseep on his own, without crying, two nights in a row!  Yea!!!!!

And now, he not only can roll from his front to his back, but he can roll from his back to his side.  He hasn't gotten to his stomach yet, but he will soon!  He also loves to stand up while someone holds him.  Mommy and Daddy are afraid he will walk before he crawls!

On April 1st, TJ attended his 2nd wedding.  Aunt Carrie married Uncle Patrick.  Doesn't Aunt Carrie look pretty. And, TJ looks very cute in his bow tie.

And, for your entertainment... Here is TJ laughing- So cute!

TJ's new trick!

While doing his "Tummy Time" yesterday, TJ showed Mommy a new move!

Yey, TJ!
